| Originally made for one samurai Kenji Kurimoto to fight against criminals and raiders of his village, which caused him to become a sort of folk hero in his home village. After Kenji's death it was passed onto Itsuki who continued his work as a samurai, then to Aoki, Aoki to Ren, then to Kaito Kurimoto. After Kaito retired peacefully from his work as a samurai he would hang the battered sword up in his study which now would be passed on to his child; Haru, who would pass it down to her child Yukino, the mother of [[npk:yumiko_kurimoto|Yumiko]]. On the day before Yumikos departure to Valtshora she would receive the sword as a gift from her mother. On [[pc:maelle_kurimoto|Maelles]] 30th birthday Yumiko would gift Maelle a refurbished Meiyo, thus officially making Maelle a member of the Kurimoto Clan, atleast in tradition. | Originally made for one ronin, a samurai without a master (though in this case more of an officer), Kenji Kurimoto to fight against criminals and raiders of his village, which caused him to become a sort of folk hero in his home village. | Originally the blade was made with a red dyed bamboo cross pattern over a white magnolia wood grip, and a steel blade engraved with "Justice and Prosperity" which written in Nihonic. a few days before it was gifted to Maelle; it was refurbished with a new titanium grip painted to be the same shade of white as before, and given a red silk cloth to replace the worn out bamboo. then lastly a newly forged steel blade placed on top with the old engraving of "Justice and Prosperity" written proudly near the hilt once more. The sheaths old sakura pattern was repainted to fix the chipping present on the old paint used, and lastly the ribbon presented on it was replaced with a beautiful silk one with a white sakura flower on the knot of the ribbon, the only new addition added by Yumiko. Inbetween the ribbon and entrance of the hilt held every name of the Kurimoto Clan who owned this blade. This was updated to include the name Maeru, which would be Maelles name written in katakana. | Originally the blade was made with a red dyed bamboo cross pattern over a white magnolia wood grip, and a steel blade engraved with "Justice and Prosperity" which was written in Nihonic. a few days before it was gifted to Maelle; it was refurbished with a new titanium grip painted to be the same shade of white as before, and then given a red silk cloth to replace the worn out bamboo.
