You know what's not the same as our world? Powers. They have never been especially strong, or clear, or even consistent. Some centuries you can't throw a stone without hitting a gifted person, others you struggle to find even a couple in the same city.

There's no rhyme or reason to what a person might be able to do, and the amount of people able to do it has never been big enough to actually have a huge impact in the way that things are done. Doesn't mean that there are not [[org:paranormal_foundation|people]] trying to make them work for themselves better.

Despite what many people think these days, there seems to be no relation between gifts and the new [[thing:portal|technologies]] that [[place:Rigasia]] has used to conquer the world. Gifts do not unravel reality causing instruments to fail in their measurements.

As the story has advanced the party discovered some interesting facts about the gifts:

There are at least two different sources of gifts: [[place:Umichoo]] and the [[thing:Giver of Shapes]]. Umichoo's gifts are said to come with a very steep price attached, whereas The Giver of Shapes is related to the [[place:Great Dream]].
