Mauto is an anagusi woman from Kesizma that was present during the rigasian counterattack in Nuskom during the opening of the Rigasia/Kesizma War.
She was not ripped apart by the portal event, but instead twisted in time in such a way that she was dying very painfully to the resulting forces. She managed to follow the party, that could only see her peripherally or in reflections, and saved from death by Ariyadna
In Mali, she took a bit of time to recover and then joined the party to reach a place where they could open a portal to Kesizma proper.
Sadly the party departed before she was healed enough, and she collapsed after the first day of riding, having had to run from some very dangerous aberrations on the road.
