On the capitulation of Valtshora after the Second Great War, the Rigasian/Mesogeian alliance decreed that countries that had started the war were not to have a standing army anymore. In the case of Valtshora, the combination of military police and emergency services they are allowed are grouped under the name of the Valtshora Militia.
During the events of the Rigasia/Kesizma War, as parts of Valtshora declared independency from Rigasia and allied with Kesizma instead, the Valtshoran Militia split in half: parts of it are still allied with the Rigasian Confederacy, but the rest is organizing in an actual army for the Free Valtshoran State.
