The Koteglia Leap is the name given by the scientific community to the strange leap of both scientific understanding and engineering that resulted in the construction of the first Koteglia Mechanism in Rigasia. It is hard to judge because a lot of the investigation has been censored, but the fact that the investigation seems to have focused in a group small enough that it could be censored at that level raises eyebrows.
As far as most people understand the concept of the Koteglia Leap is a non-entity because for most of them “science” means that some dude reads a lot of books and then concentrates hard and comes up with a totally novel idea. But this is not how science works and the actual scientific community knows this.
So people in the know have two big unanswered questions: How is it possible that it took twenty years for someone to replicate Rigasia's work? they have good universities, but not that better than other countries.
And, after Rigasia managed to make it work, how did they manage to prevent every spy, infiltrator, turncoat, and whistleblower from unleashing the secret? They do have the Paranormal Foundation but…
