Twenty years after the Second Great War, Rigasia ramped up their timeline exploration program. Among other people's they found the anagusi, they they originally mistook for uncivilized cave people.

A total failure to communicate and the actions of the unsupervised explorers, both army and ex-convicts looking to buy off their prison time, resulted in a fast escalation, and the anagusi domain of Kesizma invaded the rigasian timeline through portals in the three rigasian zones.

The first attack was neutralized by Rigasian bombings of the anagusi keeping their portals stable, killing both civilian and neutral (medical) personnel, as well as unleashing a portal event, all of which are considered by the anagusi to be war crimes.

The resulting portal event reverberated for quite a while, causing the appearance of aberrations of unclear origin on surrounding timelines, some of which were found by the party.

On the Rigasian Timeline, there were huge political consequences: the dropping of a bomb, even a conventional one, in the Nuskom Zone shocked the international community and reinvigorated the popular protests for the twentieth aniversary of the original bombing.

Parts of Valtshora are now in the middle of an upheaval, and some of the Valtshoran Militia has defected. The new rebellion is getting support from both local powers such as Zhongguo and external ones like Kesizma.

Kesizma in particular has taken a more delicate approach, among other things because they are very busy trying to stop the portal event that is running amok through their territories.
