Several years ago they started seeing a very big thing in the outer ring of the zone. The less colorful descriptions say that it looks like a giant bear, all white. It has never exited the zone: it stays inside, and hides surprisingly well for how big it is, so either it doesn't attack people… or doesn't leave witnesses.
