Dr. Orestes O. Orsted is a musian physicist currently working for the Rigasian Confederacy who was key to their creation of the technology that stabilizes portals to travel to alternate timelines.

Orsted worked originally for the Mus Hegemony trying to replicate the technology that would eventually allow Rigasia to create the Bomb. After the war ended, he was quietly recruited by the winners to work on their side instead.

Orsted is one of the big names of the Rigasian scientific community who talked against the Leiphof Paper, dedicating a considerable amount of time and political capital to bury it as deep as possible.

Despite him being a pretty influential character, he didn't actually appear in person until Session 25 where he assisted to the Umichooan Inquiry about Rigasian Affairs. He was seen talking to the Puppeteer and at some point, a drunk Maelle Kurimoto walked up to him to scream at him about the Leiphof Paper.
