On the capitulation of Nuskom after the Second Great War, the Rigasian/Mesogeian alliance decreed that countries that had started the war were not to have a standing army anymore. In the case of Nuskom, the combination of military police and emergency services they are allowed are grouped under the name of the Nuskom Militia.
