Appearance

Story
He grew up in Lewiston, Maine in the 1880s and studied medicine in the Miskatonic university, where he got a doctorate, he then decided to volunteer with the Red Cross for the added experience and went into the Congo to vaccinate the local population. He ended up being forced to come back to the US after insulting the local authorities over the treatment of the local population.
In the US he started working as a doctor where he made a lot of money, then decided to use that money to travel around the south of the US to provide free healthcare for the most poorest people in the region, usually in black neighborhoods.
In there he met a group of detectives investigating the murder of a black man that the police had ignored for years and decided to join them. Together they uncovered the corruption of the police chief that was part of the Klans who murdered the man.
After that investigation he decided to close his main office to focus entirely in helping the poor and working for that detective agency.
While working for them, he ended up encountering truly bizarre stuff, thing beyond the normal: he nearly got eaten and digested by a house, talked with head in a jar, escaped and fought mutated dogs in a cave and fought some abomination that the Klans had summoned.
His last investigation ended up in disaster tho, as he was swallowed by a tower of non-euclidean proportions and spit back much later, at the time where his friends are dead, if not from some monster then by the passage of time. He then spent a decade readjusting from this new time, with his doctorate now invalid, and the rest of his stuff sold as he was declare dead. He decided that he needed to make some money again and so restarted an investigation business taking any job that is offered.
