A small little mountain village in Valtshora from which Clark Dubois came from.

Located in what we calla the Carpathian mountain range, it is a isolated village with around 200 habitants.

It is very close to southern Border, with the local mountains being actually contested but due to the lack of importance, all countries involved pretend that there isn't an overlapping claim.

There's a small river flowing trough the town center which is dominated by a local church, has a whooping total of two bars, a smith, tailor, bakery, butcher, and a tavern where some rooms can be set up for the very occasional traveler.

Outside of down is mostly forested with a lumberyard downstream. Upstream there are a few pastures with mostly goats, but also some cows and chickens.

The village is very old and it predates both Valtshora and Mesogeia but was always so remote and unimportant, that very few events from the larger world have had an impact on it.

Thirty-four years before the bombing of Nuskom a sickness killed a quarter of the inhabitants, mostly due to the lack of healthcare.

Two years before the bombing, during the Second Great War, a company of Blackcaps came and forcibly recruited all men of prime age. None ever came back.

Ten years after the bombing, a blizzard ravaged the region, leading to around a dozen death.

Due to the overwhelming isolation of the village, local population tends to be a bit cold toward strangers though a select few merchants are warmly welcome as they usually bring good that cannot be produce locally, like medicine.

In term of religion, they have their own set of god and tradition that include but is not limited to :

• Perkunas : the lighting god of law.
• Saulé : the goddess of the sun.
• Laima : the goddess of fate, birth, marriage and death.
• Maideina : fairy like goddess of the wood, tree and animal such as rabbit.
• Dievas : chief of the good and primordial deity chief of light and prosperity and leader.

Politically they elect a mayor who runs for life and can be removed at any point by a majority vote, the mayor is in charge of keeping track of the village stockpile and organize celebrations or popular tribunals when the need arise.

They are very superstitious and any behavior that can be considered odd is reason for marginalization, as they believe to be curses caused by angering the gods.

They have their own language one that seem distantly related to some of the ones spoken in northern Mesogeia, but are not mutually understandable. The name “Laville” is an example of said language as it simply mean “the town”

They do not have a concept of family name as the population is too low to have a strong need for such thing, in the few case where two individuals share the same name, they will find a way to describe themselves such as “son of”, “of the east side” or “from the wood” in Clark's case
