Session 25
This session was played on 2025-12-13. Clark, Gaia and Maelle participate in an international conference and try to kidnap a rigasian scientist.
Plot
Some days after the previous session, Claire, Gaia and Maelle have a private meeting with Iorena Sevel and Sozaya where they explain that in one week time, an international conference between Rigasia, Umichoo and other interested parties will take place in the city of Dimes, in Mesogeia.
And there is a specific rigasian scientist by the name of Elinore Kandinsky that has suddenly jumped to the top of the list that Valtshora and Kesizma want to talk with. Since they discovered that Koteglia Mechanisms contain actually biological material, they have started to assume that biologists working in portal-related fields might know a lot more than previously expected.
So it's decided that under cover of an international conference/inquiry where both Rigasia and Umichoo are trying to keep everything they know under wraps as they get as much information off the other as possible, they are going to kidnap her. It's not like they can go to her and actually ask, because she's one of the VIP personnel who are under constant watch by the Paranormal Foundation agents.

Quotes
- Iorena: Next week, a lot of interested parties are going to met in the city of Dimes to participate in an international inquiry enforced by the Umichooans. Officially, the purpose is for the Umichooans to set down the law as far as disarming 'forbidden' technologies such as π bombs; unofficially it seems that Umichooans want to know something from the Rigasians, related to what the hell the Koteglia Mechanism actually is.
- Sozaya: Which is…interesting because practically speaking Umichooans could just wrest that knowledge from any Rigasian's mind, despite the protections that their own gifted give, but apparently Umichooans do not want the knowledge to become public… not even to all Umichooans. So there's an Umichooan moratorium about actually reading any mind that might hold that particular secret.
- Iorena: Up until a little while ago we were a bit confused as to why a biologist would have such a clearance and so many bodyguards… but then you recovered a not totally destroyed Koteglia Mechanism from the train.
- Sozaya: If whatever the Rigasians are using for their portal machines is biological in nature, this is not merely a person investigating a tangential result of portals, she probably has actual important knowledge about the source of them. And we know she is not happy in her situation.
- Gaia: Ohh.
- Maelle: So we're kidnapping her?
- Iorena: We're absolutely kidnapping her.
- Claire: Ok, I'll try not to accidentally kill her.
Trivia
Rose does not remember what happened today.
Whatever Maelle actually does with their “Spy” aspect, it is not social engineering. The poor peep can barely talk their way out of a wet paper bag. They seem to be quite decent at breaking stuff (and people), though.
Gaia has a problem with letting herself be cornered in places by Rigasian Agents, and being at risk of being beaten up. Iorena has nightmares about it.
Claire left one glass bone in the bottom of her backpack and forgot about it. Apparently it's intentional on her player's part.
Claire decyphered the simplest way to get the Puppeteer talking: pandering to his enormous ego.
Some Mesogeian cities were named more than twenty years ago, so the words might be… cruder than more recently-named ones. Dimes is not the worst one though, that prize would go to Vilaccia.
