This is a list of possible things Wishlist might implement next. Or not. Consider it Wishlist's Wishlist.
Add a datapack that allows playing with Wishlist out-of-the box; no server setup required:
Provide ways to acquire every single item, be it through loot tables, trades or recipes.
| item | where |
|---|---|
| Cards | Make craftable + found in random chests? |
| Chain Trader Contract | ??? |
| Chess | Make craftable + found in random chests? |
| Containers | See Cardboard pack |
| Cook Book | Sold by Librarians? |
| Custom Discs | Found in specific chests |
| Drinks | Make craftable |
| Hats | Add crafting recipes for all |
| Key Blank | Add to toolsmith trades? |
| Grimoire | Make craftable at the cost of one heart |
| Pronoun Pins | Add to wandering traders? |
| Skip Wands | Add to cartographers or wandering traders? |
| Map Hall Core | Add to cartographers |
| Sink | Add recipe; make installation take time |
Provide ways to access the sky, ocean and sketch dimensions; this can be either a custom portal or a premade ticket sold by wandering traders.
Provide a premade limbo area (train of the dead?)
Disable trades for random NPCs. Apparently setting an empty trade list in their data is not enough because the trades are filled after the villagers and wandering traders are summoned.
Fiddle with baby illagers to either fix the patches of warm-colored skin showing in some versions, or limit them to biomes that don't show those patches such as snow.
Copper bathtub that you can sit inside
Find a way to dye the cardboard box and envelope. It's probably doable with blind recipes.
Add skew transformation. And maybe others? what can be done?
I need feedback for the save/load selection system, and probably about multiplayer editing, because players can smash each other selections when they are close enough.
Selection needs to be tightened to handle the situation where two players are working close to each other, and the situation where a display and its corresponding interaction become desynced because one was translated and the other wasn't
Preview text before writing it. New process would be:
One problem with this is that to discard a text you need to write it down. Is this good or bad? not entirely sure about it. Also, having alternate textures for every marker when they are in a "write" state might be chore; maybe just don't do that, just store the text in the lore?
Marker that can create a sprite? Or would that be better served as something to put in the display book. Or an entirely new pack named stickers?
Have the non-active buttons have more readable labels
The Shuffle needs a better icon
Can I make a better icon for every action? one that suggests they are actions instead of objects?
Add wishlist:enchantable_with_lifetime tag as customization point.
Ensure that the end portal creation prevention system works well.
New model for map hall core
Refine safe skip code to remove more false positives
Skip to me is very useful, but it can interrupt a player's work. maybe try to place the new player behind the player they are teleporting to?
Rewrite using wind charges, or maybe fishing bobber?
Can either of these make a decent grappling hook?
Several tools have an iron pickaxe as their base item; that means that grabbing one of them will grant the "Isn't it Iron Pick" advancement.
