The point is, this site is self-hosted, because it's just a small page that I can keep running on my own on a very small server made of a repurposed little machine.
The point is, this site does not have client-side scripting, or dynamic anything, or tries to react to your actions. It's just text, that you are served from static files, and looks exactly the same for you as for everyone else that visits the place.
The point is, the underlying HTML code is so simple that you can read the page code and still understand perfectly well what the site actually means, and so can any tool that is intended to make the site accessible to anyone with reduced ability.
The point is, the pages are small enough that they will load fast, and once loaded, they will take very little space in your browser cache.
